Hwan Lin joined the Belk College faculty in 1993. He is in the graduate faculty of the Belk College of Business. His research interests encompass technological innovation, economic growth, international trade and finance, and computational economics. His research has been recognized with a Best-Paper Award at the Belk College of Business. He pioneers research into alternatives to patents using dynamic general-equilibrium models as well as novel methods for solving economic dynamics driven by complicated functional differential equations (FDEs).
